TECHNOMARK MARKS YOUR BICYCLE WITH THE BICYCODE!
What is the Bicycode?
In France, the number of bicycles stolen annually is estimated at around 400,000, of which 150,000 are found and only 2 to 3% returned.
To fight against this phenomenon, the Bicycode has been created. This is a code (coupled with a national database declared to the CNIL) inscribed on the frame of a bicycle, which deters theft and facilitates its return.
In other European countries, this service set up by the FUB has reduced theft by 30% and returned 40% of stolen bikes to their owners.
The purpose of Bicycode is first to deter theft through the visible application of a sticker on the frame of the bicycle. Currently, of the 85,000 bicycles engraved in France, only 3% are stolen each year.
If the bicycle is found, the system then makes it possible to quickly identify the owner, even months after the crime.
How does bike marking work?
Technomark offers to mark your bike for free during the FUB congress, from May 10 to 12!
The marking is done by dot-peen, with our Industrial traceability machine Multi 4 Mini on the frame of the bicycle, whether steel or aluminium. Bicycle marking is often done on the seat tube because it is thicker.
